The Bulk Users feature allows admins to upload multiple users into the app at one time using a CSV file. This is ideal for onboarding large contact lists, migrating users, or adding users in batches instead of creating them individually.
Users are added by downloading a CSV template, completing it with the required information, and uploading it back into the Agent Dashboard.
How to Upload Users in Bulk
- Log into the Agent Dashboard.
- From the left-hand menu, click Users.
- At the top of the Users page, click Upload CSV.
- A window will appear with options for downloading a template.
- Click Download the CSV Template to download the required file. You may also choose to use the Google Sheet Template linked in this window.
- If you are using Safari, right-click the CSV link and choose Download this file to ensure the file saves correctly.
Important:
The template format must not be changed. Modifying column headers, removing columns, or altering the structure will cause the import to fail.
Completing the CSV Template
Open the downloaded CSV file and enter your user information.
The CSV includes six fields.
The first five fields are required for all user uploads.If you are an agent uploading your own users, leave the Agent Key / Mapping field blank.

If users need to be associated with a specific agent, the agent key can be found in the agent’s profile at the end of their unique deep link.

Within the CSV, there is a field labeled Send Welcome Email.
Enter 1 to send users a welcome email. This email includes app download and login information.
Enter 0 to create the user account without sending an email. The user will still be created in the HomeStack database but will not receive a notification.
Uploading and Importing Users
- Once the CSV file is complete, save it to your computer.
- Return to the Users section of the Agent Dashboard.
- Click Upload CSV, select your completed file, and upload it.
- The system will validate the file and notify you if any required fields are missing or incorrect.
- After validation, you will see a list of users available for import.
- Click Import Users to finalize and create the users in your dashboard.
Email Delivery
If the welcome email option was enabled, emails are typically sent within five minutes of import.
