What you're building
A resources menu inside your branded app — what users see depends on whether they're on the new app or the legacy version. Tap a tab below to see each.
New app version (current)
Clients see resources under Profile Helpful Resources. Agents see them under Profile Resources.
|
Client view · Profile › Helpful Resources
|
Agent view · Profile › Resources
|
Legacy app (older version)
Both clients and agents tap Menu to find resources. Clients see only Global content; agents see Global plus Agent sections, all listed by category.

How it's organized
In the dashboard, App Resources lives in two fixed buckets: Global and Agent. On the mobile app, that same content surfaces in two different places depending on who's looking.
|
Global
Visible to clients and agents
Use for: Public-facing partners, preferred vendors, community resources, special offers — anything every app user should see.
|
Agent
Visible to agents only
Use for: Internal tools, agent-only training, lender contacts, back-office vendors — anything clients shouldn't see.
|
Dashboard structure
Both buckets follow the same nesting: Section Subsection Entry.
Where it appears in the mobile app
Clients and agents reach App Resources from different places. The path differs between the new app and the legacy app — tap a tab below to see each.
New app version (current)
Clients tap Profile Helpful Resources. Agents tap Profile Resources.
Legacy app (older version)
Both clients and agents tap Menu. Clients see only Global content; agents see Global plus Agent sections, all listed by category.
Add your resources
Follow these steps inside whichever bucket you're adding to.
-
Open the agent dashboard. Log in to the Agent Dashboard, then click App Resources in the left sidebar.
-
Add a section. Inside your chosen bucket, click Add new section and type a name in the textbox.
-
Add a subsection. Click Edit on your new section, then add a subsection inside it. Subsections group related links together.
- Add an entry. Click Edit on the subsection, then click Add new entry.
-
Fill in the three fields:
- Heading: Business or person's name
- Text: Business type, phone, email, or other details
- Link URL: Full website only — leave blank if the vendor has no website
-
Save twice — don't skip this. Click Update on the entry form, then click Update again in the Sections column. Skipping the second save is the #1 reason changes don't appear in the app.
- Force-close and reopen the app. If you had the app open while editing, fully close it (not just background it) and reopen to see your new resources.
Field rules
Three fields, simple rules. The most common mistake is putting a phone number in the Link URL field — that goes in Text.
|
Heading
Business or individual name. Keep it short — this is the tappable label users see.
| ||
|
Text
Business type, phone, email — anything that helps users decide whether to tap. Put contact info here if the vendor has no website.
| ||
|
Link URL
Full website URL only. No phone or email links here — those go in the Text field. Leave blank if the vendor has no website.
|
Rearrange resources
Order matters — your most-used resources should be at the top. You can reorder sections, subsections, and individual links anytime.
- Open App Resources in the dashboard. Same starting point as setup.
- Move sections with the blue arrows. Click the blue arrow up or down once per position you want to shift.
- Move subsections and links with Move up / Move down. Inside any section or subsection, use the Move up / Move down buttons.
- Save twice (again). Click Update at the bottom of the entry, then Update in the Sections column.
- Force-close and reopen the app to see the new order.

Common questions
I don't see App Resources in my dashboard.
Two possible reasons: either your plan doesn't include this feature (it's Pro & Enterprise only), or you're not an admin on your account. Check with your account admin first. If you should have access and still don't, email support@homestack.com.
My changes aren't appearing in the app.
99% of the time this is the "save twice" issue. Make sure you clicked Update on both the entry form and the Sections column. Then force-close the app (not just background it) and reopen.
Where do clients find App Resources in the mobile app?
Clients tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation, then Helpful Resources. They only see content you put in the Global bucket.
Where do agents find App Resources in the mobile app?
Agents tap the Profile tab, then Resources. Global content appears grouped under App Resources, with any Agent-only sections listed alongside.
A client says they can't find a section I added.
Check whether you added it to the Global bucket. Anything in the Agent bucket is invisible to clients — that's the whole point of having two buckets. Move the section to Global if it should be public.
The vendor I want to add doesn't have a website.
No problem. Put their phone number or email in the Text field, and leave the Link URL field blank. The Link URL field accepts websites only — putting a phone number there will break.
Can I move a section from Global to Agent (or vice versa)?
Yes — edit the section and change its bucket. The structure and all entries inside are preserved.
Can I add this feature if I'm not on Pro or Enterprise?
Yes — App Resources can be added À La Carte to your existing plan. Contact support@homestack.com for pricing.
Disclaimer: This feature is exclusively accessible to Admins. If you are not an Admin, please consult with your organization's administrator for assistance or further information.
Please Note: This feature is included in our Pro and Enterprise plans. If you believe you should have access to it but don't, please reach out to support@homestack.com. If you're not currently on our Pro or Enterprise plan and would like to add this premium feature À La Carte, please contact support@homestack.com for further information.
